The 2009 Newark District math fair is a tough competition. The fair showcases exemplary math projects created by students and teachers throughout the district. The 6th + 7th Grade students once again produced a top rate project, Pythagoras – “More than the hypotenuse”. The students connected math, music and art to show relationships and mathematical aspects. Students made instruments, related musical notes to fractions, and wrote, performed and produced a digital CD. Enjoy!
